Halogen-free flame retardants can be used in all types of polymers in electronics, construction, automotive and other industries. Polyolefin applications are expected to be the main field, followed by epoxy resins and unsaturated polyesters (UPE). Polyolefin is the most widely used polymer and has a wide range of applications in all industries. In various consumer-centric industries, the use of polyethylene and polypropylene is increasing. TF-241 is a kind of halogen-free eco-friendly compound flame retardant for polyolefin. It has been developed especially for various PP. Containing acid source, gas source and carbon source, TF-241 takes effect by char formation and intumescent mechanism. PP with 22% dosage TF-241 can pass the tests of UL94 V-0(3.0mm) and GWIT 960℃.
